Located in the heart of one of the most captivating regions of the Southwest, the thrilling 6,646-yard, par - 71 course is widely considered among the world's most unforgettable golf experiences. Winding around the famed red rocks of Sedona, each hole provides a unique adventure. No wonder this championship Sedona golf course receives a continuous four-star rating from Golf Digest.
Oak Creek Country Club - 928-284-1660
The premier of Sedona AZ golf courses, the Oakcreek Country Club is an 18 hole championship golf course nestled in the majestic Sedona red rocks. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., this Sedona, Arizona golf course is truly a masterpiece featuring Sedona red rock views beyond compare.
This Sedona, AZ golf course is a traditional layout similar to those that you may find in the midwestern United States. In the usual Trent Jones manner, the fairways are classic tree lined doglegs with fairway bunkers strategically placed in the landing areas, and the greens are all slightly elevated and surrounded with large swirling greenside bunkers. The golf course is "player friendly", allowing plenty of room for error but always with an opportunity to recover and get errant shots back into play.
Beaver creek Golf Club - 928-567-4467
Enjoy year-round golf in the shadow of cottonwoods lining Beaver Creek. 6386 yards of play are offered on this par-71 course. It is located southeast of Sedona AZ, off Interstate 17, about three and a-half miles east of exit 293. Let the great blue herons and the occasional deer or raccoon play through as you enjoy the fabulous Arizona sunshine. The on-site Ranch House serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner to feed the famished and hosts a country band on the weekends.
Canyon Mesa Country Club - 928-284-0036
A nine-hole executive gem that caters to every type of golfer, Canyon Mesa provides the perfect recreational complement to the beautiful red rocks of Sedona. Canyon Mesa is also the best public golf value in Sedona. Tucked quaintly away in a corner of the Village of Oak Creek, Canyon Mesa is ideal for novices and yet challenging enough for the more experienced. Due to its short length -- it averages just 140 yards a hole from the white tees -- Canyon Mesa is perfect for those just learning the game. But its narrowness and difficult greens makes it challenging for long-time golfers working on "target golf."
Verde Santa Fe Golf Club - 928-634-5454
Playing golf at Verde Santa Fe Golf Club, a challenging course located across the beautiful Verde Valley from spectacular Mingus Mountain, site of historic Jerome, is like taking a picturesque walk through the high desert.
This new championship course, situated 3,800 feet above the Phoenix metropolitan area, is framed by the vast range of Black Hills that extends from Camp Verde to Cottonwood - and here, where Hogan's wash and other natural arroyos come into play, and where four lakes border the tenth and eighteenth holes, the average temperature is a pleasant 80 degrees. The green fees are relatively low, too!
